Shane Parsons

Shane spent the first 11 years of his professional career as an accountant, preparing accounts and tax returns for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds navigating the complex, ever-changing superannuation and tax legislation that governs them. Over the past five years, he has transitioned into the financial domain of major projects across Defence, Water Utilities, and Port Capital works.

He has extensive experience working in complex financial environments across all areas of project controls, including cost control, schedule management, change management, and risk management. Shane brings a strong understanding of financial data to support insightful and evidence-based decision-making. In previous roles, he has implemented cost systems, analysed financial and commercial data to provide actionable recommendations, audited prime contractors for CASG, managed project change processes, and forecast multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects estimates at completion.

Shane’s overarching goal is to provide decision-makers with clear, accurate and meaningful information. By grounding his reports in detailed underlying data, he is able to communicate insights effectively from the top down while retaining the ability to drill into the detail when required.
