Our services

Parbery Consulting offers a wide range of services to our public and private sector clients. Our team has a wealth of experience and is highly collaborative. We work closely with our clients to deliver effective end-to-end solutions.

Management consulting

Our team combines strong government and commercial experience to provide practical, professional and tailored management consulting advice and services. We improve your performance by solving problems and creating new systems, policies and processes to deliver the best outcomes. We help you become more efficient and build your team’s capability to ensure that you can continue to grow and improve.

Project and program management

We are experienced in the planning, organisation and management of programs, projects and resources. Our team focus on project goals and objectives to develop and deliver effective outcomes. From beginning to end, we offer combined project and program management services. We work with you to understand the constraints of individual projects – including scope, timeframes and budget – to help meet your objectives.

End-to-end procurement and contract management

We have extensive experience in government procurement and contract management and a practical understanding of Commonwealth policies and legislation. We use this experience to tailor our approach and provide a service that meets your objectives.

Change and transformation management

We have experience, knowledge and expertise in a variety of change and transformation management activities. Some of these include organisational design, behavioural change management, talent management and workforce optimisation, as well as policy and process design and implementation. We work closely with your team to facilitate and embed change or transformation. We also provide you with the tools required to continue this change after our engagement has finished. Moreover, we work with you to develop a tailored approach to ongoing reporting in order to help monitor and embed continuous improvement.

Cost estimation and Activity-Based Costing (ABC)

Our cost estimation services have supported decision making for major defence projects, first and second pass business case development and other strategic decision making within government. Our techniques and methodologies draw on best practice approaches developed by NASA and the US Government Accountability Office. Our estimates are realistic and take into consideration the context of each project, including relative risks and uncertainty. We use parametric tools, such as Galorath’s SEER product, to provide estimates that are comparable to other completed projects around the world.

Activity-based costing (ABC) will provide you with business insights like no other financial analysis. It strips away the accounting view of the world to give you a pragmatic assessment of your business costs. Our team is also highly competent in the use of ClearCost – the Australian Government’s tool of choice for the annual corporate services bench-marking exercise managed by the Department of Finance. ABC can help you understand the cost drivers of your business, and set fees and charges to align with cost recovery policies. It can also provide information to central agency bench-marking requirements and demonstrate cost changes over time to help you manage your business at a strategic and tactical level.

Financial modelling

We tailor our financial modelling to help you understand the impact of your strategic decision making. We have worked with government agencies to improve their cost estimation techniques, methods and tools and have conducted a ‘knowledge transfer’ to improve their investment processes. Our team has experience in a variety of modelling tasks that help you understand specific parts of your business, including:

  • budget modelling to recognise if your budget is realistic;
  • modelling to show the effect on budgets from changes to various cost drivers;
  • Price setting to support cost recovery; and
  • Cost benefit analysis.

Financial advisory and assurance

Our team has experience in managing the implementation of accounting changes, from a single accounting standard to full project planning and implementation. We work with you to understand your business and provide tailored assistance for changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, new business activities and business acquisitions. We prepare meaningful financial and non-financial information on a timely basis. We analyse the financial and non-financial information of your business to provide you with a simplified version.
