Margaret Cresswell – Principal
Margaret leads Parbery’s communication, engagement and transformation service lines, partnering with clients to deliver strategic, outcome-driven results that equip people and organisations for the future.
Margaret and her team understand that people are the heart of communication and change. Success and sustained change is achieved through taking the time to engage, listen and understand what has come before, as well as what is needed for the future. Policies, guidelines and processes are important, but without trust and collaboration from the people involved, achieving success will be that much harder.
Margaret specialises in navigating complex, dynamic environments and brings a clear, strategic focus to the projects and teams she leads. With over 25 years’ experience providing high level counsel and support across a diverse range of client portfolios, clients deeply value her understanding of the machinery of government as well as her strong business acumen.
Margaret started her career as a serving member of the Australian Defence Force, transitioning to the civilian world after a decade to pursue a specialisation in strategic communication and change management. Throughout her career, Margaret has advised a myriad of clients on wide-ranging communication, change and business management matters, both as an independent consultant and director of a full-service communication agency. She has also lectured in communication and media at the undergraduate and postgraduate level at the University of Canberra and designed and delivered customised training solutions domestically and internationally.
Margaret is passionate about the power of positive communication, building healthy cultures and fostering behaviours that empower individuals, while supporting enterprise growth and transformation. In partnership with clients, Margaret helps prepare and equip organisations, and their people, to anticipate, embrace and thrive through change.
