Kylie Burnett – Partner
Kylie has a successful track record in leading large-scale Commonwealth procurement activities and managing the design, negotiation and delivery of complex contracts.
With over ten years of experience working for the Australian Public Service, including seven years in executive level roles across policy, program and service delivery departments, Kylie has extensive knowledge of the public sector.
Following her public service career, Kylie worked for the private sector, providing services exclusively for government departments. Consequently, she is able to approach each task from a unique perspective (which considers both the public and private/industry sectors), particularly in relation to project management, procurement and tender design, contract negotiations and contract management.
Although Kylie is a procurement and contract management specialist, she also has experience in corporate strategy development, change and project management, and policy and Cabinet submission development. The vast majority of this experience has been within politically motivated and highly scrutinised environments.
Kylie has a strong theoretical and practical understanding of the procurement processes and requirements under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPAA) and Commonwealth Procurement Rules 2017 (CPR), and focuses on robust and justifiable outcomes to ensure value for money is realised.
